In 2006, I was noticing the rise of digital media and online marketing. I wanted to learn more and differentiate myself as a marketer. In 2007 I enrolled in Web Analytics at the University of British Columbia.This program was a turning point for me and the timing was perfect.
Over a two year period, the online courses I completed were:
- Creating and Managing the Analytical Business Culture
- Introduction to Web Analytics
- Measuring Marketing Campaigns
- Search Engine Optimization
- Web Analytics for Site Optimization
In a competitive international and global business environment, Greater Halifax Partnership (GHP) took their online presence very seriously. A business looking re-locate to Halifax, the internet is the first place they’d look. As Internet Marketing Specialist, I have been pleased to tap into the minds of very talented people at ISL (still a big fan) on campaigns, website development and search engine optimization.
The Canada Games Centre accomplished silver accreditation for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). We have a strong commitment to reduce paper consumption and concentrate most (not all) of our marketing efforts online.
